Welltory Premium keeps your whole history; the free version does not. Welltory says: “In the free version, data older than 30 days is deleted. Export it in advance to avoid losing old data.” When you cancel, Premium stays active to the end of the paid period. Welltory does not describe what happens to a lapsed Premium account separately, so export everything before that date, including your raw RR intervals RR interval The time from one heartbeat to the next, measured in milliseconds between the R peaks of an ECG. HRV is calculated from a series of these intervals. More about RR interval .

Premium, the free version and 30 days
Welltory has a free version, a three-day trial and Premium. “Unlike the free version, which deletes data older than 30 days, Premium keeps your full history” (Welltory Help Center, Premium). The free version allows one HRV measurement a day, and its report shows 5 basic metrics instead of 21.
Welltory spells out the 30-day rule for the end of the trial: “your measurement history will be limited to the past 30 days — anything older will be deleted unless you export your data in advance” (Welltory Help Center, subscription). Its pages do not say whether an account goes back to the free version in the same way when a paid Premium ends. With months or years of measurements at stake, treat the last paid day as your deadline to export.
Cancelling “stops auto-renewal for the next billing cycle”, and “Your current subscription stays active until the end of the paid period.” Cancel where you subscribed: in your Apple ID settings, in Google Play, or in your account on welltory.com (Welltory Help Center, subscription).
Three years, then deletion
“If you delete the app from your device but do not delete your account, your account and data remain active.” But if the account becomes inactive, Welltory “may retain your data for up to three years in case you decide to reactivate your account. After three years of inactivity, your personal data will be deleted” (Welltory Privacy Policy, 15 October 2026).
Deleting the account erases all your data. Welltory removes it “within one month, with complete erasure from backup systems within up to 90 days” (Welltory Privacy Policy). You cannot delete an account while a subscription is active (Welltory Help Center, processing of personal data).
Export before Premium ends
Welltory’s exports are in its web app, which takes the same login as the phone app (Welltory Help Center, web app):
- The archive. Go to the Personal data tab and click Get new archive. “Your archive will be ready within 24 hours and available to download on this page,” and you can make a new one “as often as you need.”
- Raw RR intervals. Open Dashboard, pick a chart, choose a time range and select Download raw RR-intervals. “You’ll get a file with raw interval data” (Welltory Help Center, export).
- Each chart’s values. On the same chart, Export downloads all the parameters linked to it as a CSV file.
The RR file is the one worth keeping: from the intervals between beats you can work out HRV again with any measure, whatever happens to the app. The RR converter and how to export your HRV data explain what to do with it.
Ask for a copy
- Where: support@welltory.com, or Welltory’s Data Protection Officer, Ametros Group, at dpo@ametrosgroup.com; its EU and UK representatives are at gdpr@ametrosgroup.com. Welltory says it verifies your identity through your registered account or e-mail, so write from the address you signed up with (Welltory Privacy Policy).
- What to ask for: Welltory says that “Regardless of your location” you can get a copy of your data, and a portable copy “in a structured, commonly used, machine-readable format (e.g., JSON or CSV)”. Ask for every measurement with its RR intervals, the scores worked out from them and the dates. A copy holds only what Welltory still has, so ask before any history is deleted, not after.
- When: Welltory states its own deadlines: “GDPR: 1 month, extendable up to 3 months for complex cases”, and for other US privacy requests 45 calendar days, extendable by 45 more. “Exercising your rights is free of charge.” Under the GDPR a company may refuse even a first request only exceptionally, if it proves the request was made with an abusive intention (Court of Justice, C-526/24).
The data request letter builder has Welltory’s addresses and puts these points into a letter. Wearable data rights covers reminders and complaints, and can a phone camera measure HRV? explains the camera readings Welltory takes.
